Hoped for more than what is available
I was looking for a great iPhone/iPad companion to Geni. This is not it. I was looking for a convenient app that would allow me to work offline, and possibly have an easy login mechanism. I would have been better off with a home page bookmark. The interface, for something which has been around for this long leaves much to be desired. I haven’t used it enough to see if it crashes as others have described, but I can tell you that they haven’t updated it for the iPhone X, let alone the 6/7/8 Plus models. All around disappointed in what I was charged for this. Makes me want to go write one for myself.
It's about time
I started geni 5 yrs ago using my family tree. I use my phone more than my laptop now & I didn't want to transfer it all to ancestry. finally geni has an app & I can access all my data I have entered. I have no issues with it.
Excellent Mobile Geno App
I was hesitant to purchase this app after reading the reviews. I'm glad I took the chance. The family tree data populates immediately with photos and is editable in the app. It is exactly what I had hoped for. Sounds like the previously reported glitches have been fixed. (iPhone 4s).
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
