Make the most of the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference with the WWDC app. Even if you can’t join us in San Francisco, you can still follow along each day — session videos are just a tap away. And because the WWDC app experience now extends to Apple Watch, conference information is available right from your wrist.
• Stream or download videos from current and previous WWDC sessions.
• Start watching on one iOS device, and pick up where you left off on another.
• Browse times, locations, and descriptions for sessions, labs, and special events.
• Mark schedule items as favorites.
• Keep up with the latest news, get important notifications, and see daily photos.
• View accessible maps to find your way around Moscone West.
• Provide feedback on content and speakers for each session.
• Add your pass to Passbook for faster check-in at WWDC.
The WWDC app makes use of geofencing at the conference, which can decrease battery life. You can opt-out of using this feature by editing your location privacy in Privacy > Location Services in Settings.
What's New in Version 3.0
The WWDC app is now available for Apple Watch, so you can access conference information right from your wrist. You can also add sessions to Calendar, listen to session audio after you’ve left the app or locked your device, give feedback on session videos directly in the Videos tab, and utilize improved accessibility.
Tried to Favorite something. "Error: you must have an iCloud account to perform this action." Hopefully it's fixed before WWDC starts in a couple weeks.
And another thing, why doesn't it give some sort of sign that it actually added an event to the calendar. I tapped Add To Calendar 4 times with absolutely no response from the app and when I checked my calendar I found that it had added it all 4 times.
Nice update, navigation is much simpler and the UI is also better. The Apple Watch integration is also pretty good. One major drawback is that there doesn't seem to be a way to view session times in your local time zone. This needs to be addressed for those of use who will use app to watch live sessions or are coordinating with colleagues attending WWDC.
Can't add Favorites
I can't add any favorites. An error pops up saying that an iCloud account is required. I have an iCloud account and my phone backs up to iCloud, so what's the issue? No settings page to change iCloud accounts or anything.
