WzPad for WhatsApp reshapes communication around the globe, bringing you closer to your family, friends, and loved ones—using WhatsApp* on your iPad. With photo and text messages, and a limitless variety of exciting emojis, you’ll be able to express yourself in ways that you’ve never thought possible.

Just like the web version of WhatsApp, the "WzPad for WhatsApp" is an extension of your phone, which simply mirrors your conversations and messages as they are in your phone device, that means, all your messages remain originally saved on your phone.

Only "WzPad for WhatsApp" provides the following features:

• NOTIFICATIONS: Get Notifications to stay up to date.
• PHOTOS: Send and receive photos directly in App and share them with your friends.
• SECURED COMMUNICATIONS : All messages are protected by end-to-end encryption.
• SAVE YOUR DATA: Store photos and videos on your iPad and share them easily with friends.
• ENJOY GROUP CHATS: Share important information with your co-workers or talk about mutual interests with your closest friends.
• CONNECT TO THE WORLD: Send and receive text messages that keep you connected to anyone in the world.

To connect, open the "WzPad for WhatsApp" and you will see a QR code, simply 'scan' this code using WhatsApp on your phone and you will be logged in. You will find this option within WhatsApp settings on your phone, at "WhatsApp Web" menu.

Your phone must be connected to the internet for the "WzPad for WhatsApp" to work, and in addition, make sure you have the latest version of WhatsApp is available for your phone.

Really Poor Implementation of Key Features; Constant Harassment

What makes this app intolerable is the fake push notifications and app-badging; which don’t go away even if you pay for “Pro” features. Today I received three fake push notifications, along with the red badge, that were only designed to make me open the app (presumably to serve me ads); I received no actual messages. In fact, I’ve never received a push or badge when I had a genuine message. Useless.

It’s dependency on having iPhone on a local network, in my case, is not a total dealbreaker, as I always have them both, but it’s a sad state of affairs.

At the same time, WhatsApp inexplicably refuses to play on iPad, so, as a matter of convenience for viewing and typing, I tolerate this app and will silence it’s pointless notifications. This app provides iPad accessibility, and that’s it. I paid for Pro as a way to support that, and feel cheated and abused that it still harasses me. It is, altogether, a horrible experience.

Developer Response

Hi, thanks for your feedback. We have been working hard in order to restore the service as it should be. Up now you shouldn't get any notification that didn't mean to be a true and valuable information for you. Best, Fillipe

It’s good, but not real good

I don’t get a notification from this app when I receive a message, like my phone does. Other than that, the app is fine. I am using an iPad Pro. My phone is iPhone 7. My sound is on, but that seems to make no difference. Additionally, how come this iPad app doesn’t have an option for making phone calls like the iPhone app does? Also, I would like to see this app operate like texting does on my phone. After a period left at the end of a sentence while texting, or in leaving a message like this one, the keyboard reverts to upper case again. This app does not do that, meaning that I must tap the message window to make the keyboard revert to upper case for the first word I type, or tap the shift button.

Not a practical app at all for iPad

Functionality is almost as smooth as the iPhone’s, so on that bar it s not bad. However, the fact that you have to have your phone not only on the same network but have WhatsApp opened on the iPhone for the iPad WhatsApp to remain open makes this app completely pointless.
FB Messenger beats WhatsApp in this regard, which I feel is the most important. When I get home, I toss my phone aside, and can seamlessly continue on FB messenger, which stays connected, and has full and functional push notifications on all devices, not just iPhone. WhatsApp iPad fails miserably here.

If you want to use this app on iPad, and you don’t mind having the iPhone open right next to it with WhatsApp on iPhone also open, then you won’t mind this app. If you’re like me, and you chuck the iPhone aside when you feel like using the iPad, this app won’t let you.
