I hate it

I'm ready to go All APPLE after this stunt. Microsoft just keeps steering us towards the register.

Bought an MP3 audio book. Downloaded it on my PC, can only listen if I'm glued to the computer. But I want the ease of taking my audiobook with me on the road to listen while I drive. While I'm at my computer, my mind is focused on other things. Groove LURED me in with the promise that I could upload my stuff to the Groove app and take it with me. So I uploaded the book. Now I need a membership, and regular fees. Will that happen when I upload all the rest of my music from my Windows media player? I really can't take my music with me can I? I have to pay you to do it! I'm ready to go all Apple after this. You guys are so lame. Now my windows media player won't even acknowledge my Apple device. Previously, the two could share files. Lame lame lame.
Hate you Microsoft. I want windows 8 back--the system before you got so pushy.

Works great, but one little problem

I really do love this app. I actually use Groove as the main music app on my phone (I uninstalled the Apple Music app). I really like how I can stream songs I don’t listen to all that much (saving space on my phone), but can download the ones I want to listen to offline. I was able to move all my iTunes purchases to my OneDrive/Groove with no problems. It just works!

The only problem I have is that the music doesn’t pause when headphones are disconnected from the phone. But I’m still rocking the iPhone 6s, which has the 3.5mm headphone jack, so maybe this isn’t a problem for the newer iPhone models which use the lightning port for audio? While this isn’t a dealbreaker by any means, addressing this issue would be welcomed. :)

Not seamless iOS to Windows experience

La sensacion del bloque

As an iPhone and Windows PC user, I was really looking forward to syncing my two devices without having to go through iTunes. However, there’s no easy way to directly sync the songs on your PC with the iOS app for offline listening. You have to upload the music unto OneDrive from your PC and then stream them on the Groove Music iOS app. This can be nice if you have mobile data everywhere, but if you wanna then download these songs to listen offline you have to pay for premium OneDrive services. The actual player looks like any run-of-the-mill player which doesn’t matter much but if you wanna have a seamless iOS to Windows experience, this app isn’t there yet.
