Could be improved

I love the idea of the smart glass, but anybody who can see the true potential for this app will agree that this app could be improved. For example: the need to launch "my games and apps" to find apps I use all the time is frustratingly annoying, when a pinning option, such as on the One, would make everything that much easier. That's just one thing though. Why not give us an option to... I don't know... search installed apps and games and then select whatever option we want, such as launching companion mode? If you just start thinking about what could be done, it is extremely easy to see what can be done to improve this app, such as those two things I suggested which I strongly feel it is lacking. Ranting a bit aside, this app is great. What's a better media remote than a tablet or phone? Nothing, really, which is another point for this app. Another thing I love? That this app isn't based just on being used with the XB1, but also as a way to expand the Xbox experience altogether, and connect with friends. This app is already great... it's just a shame that they haven't made it as awesome as it still could become :/

Great idea, could use improvements

Works great, could offer stay connected functionality so it doesn't have to connect every time, in the near term removing the green connected banner and making the connect button green/yellow/red would be more intuitive and less intrusive than telling me at the top and bottom of the screen would be a great compromise, offer the ability to open apps natively from the app rather than opening the app on the Xbox, integration with Xbox music and video similar but more integrated like they did with the store would be great so you could play directly from the app which technically would add bloat which I am normally against but think it could do wonders here and finally upon connection make it contextual, it nothing is running on the Xbox start at the home screen, if a media app is playing, go straight to the remote, if store/video/music is open go to search. In my opinion all of these would make this already great app spectacular!

No complaints thus far...

I recently purchased an XBOX One and find this app to be incredibly useful. I haven't found any problems with it, no crashes, etc. It is very easy to use, loads quickly and makes sending messages and checking achievements much easier than using the controller.

I've had a PS4 since launch, and the PSN app is still lacking in features and has some head-scratching issues. By comparison, the Smartglass app is stable and just works.

Why the 4 star rating? I love the fact I can view my saved gameplay footage, but I'd like to view my screenshots as well. The option to save videos and screenshots to your phone or tablet would be nice as well. I understand that the screenshot feature was just added, but I'm hopeful that a later update will allow us to view and save these items to our devices.
