It's the Windows 3.11 machine for your phone/device you didn't know you needed

You'll feel surprise but not surprised over this uninspiring app from a giant (and evidently more out of touch technologically than a middle-aged parent from rural Doglick, TX) technology company. View force-fed snaps of people who value outrage over skill; see who's built something not of originality in Minecraft; read endless snark when game publishers herald their latest DLC for a product that lost its freshness less than a month after launch; experience schadenfreude that Microsoft's not a nimble playa but nimbly being played in the app market. Redeeming features? Hey Cortana, I don't know what your fetish is with that flight from Alaska, but at least I'm safe here in this app! Use it to circumvent stick n click in-game txts! Figure out who is truly online & who is faking their offline status! Quick ego boost by allowing speedy posts of game clips that feature your artistic side, your OP gaming style, your edgy take on the state of <c> game, your toon's death &/or your friend's toon's death! Marvel at the stunted search! Want a quick way to stay in touch with your Legion of Boom? Yeah, this will do that.

Needs to be improved, big time!

Overall the app is good. It allows you to have access to your Xbox on the go. There are a lot of things that need serious work though. Starting up the app/Logging in takes wayyy too long. It actually used to load up faster when you initially opened it or a notification, but recently after a couple of updates it's become severely slow. It doesn't load messages in real time, so it's hard to keep a conversation going if you're in the middle of a game or even away from your console. Every single video you try to watch that your friends make takes literally sometimes 5-10 minutes to load just to watch a clip that's usually under a minute... Also, when someone sends you a message and you have checked it in game or the app, the notification stays there saying you still have a message. So you have to reload and check it a couple times for it to go away. Overall the app does what it was intended to do, but if these basic problems were fixed, I believe this app would be amazing and worth 5 stars.

If only it worked

I like what they have done with the app for the most part. I think it's design and features and the capabilities of this app are incredibly cool. It has the potential to be absolutely amazing. Not to mention one hell of a lot of fun. However, it is the biggest POS I have ever used. It's connectivity to the Xbox Ones is horrible. It is sooooo sporadic. I have had several different network configurations and I have multiple Xbox Ones. I have tried it with a certain network config and it won't work for nothing. Then all of a sudden one week it wants to work great. Then I change up the network. Again won't work at all right now for some reason. Also I am a network guy, went to school for this stuff. I don't know it all, but I think I know enough to know that this is a piece of crap. It needs a much better team or group to develop much better networking capabilities to ensure that when I goto my iPad or iPhone and try n turn on or connect to my Xbox One, that is exactly what happens. It is a worthless piece of garbage mostly, when it don't connect to the console.
