Entered in my new bank info and the app was still auto billing my old bank number, which was a Wells Fargo acct that got sold to Flagstar bank. I don’t even know how the bank got it because the rerouting number is totally different. So a bank that I live 4 hours away from has now charged me with overdraft fees, insufficient funds, etc! And all along I had my new bank info in there for the auto payment. WTH! Xcel can call them up and explain them up and explain that they have a crap app that kept billing an account that didn’t exist! What’s the point in enrolling in auto pay when xcel is not going to bill the correct people!!!! And now my xcel Bill is late! It took them 3 months to get letters to me! Really? WTH took so long! I’m also set up for text alerts along with email! And you have my phone number! Call a person! Needless to say...I’m going back to them sending me a bill in the mail! At least I can send them a check from my real bank acct! Thanks xcel for nothing!
Decent app, no usage info
I'm in love with this app but I don't love it. I'm in love with the fact that I can view and pay my bill in a moment's notice. I'm in love with the fact that I can view, report and receive notice of outages in my area. I'm in love with the fact that I can use my touch ID to sign in instead of having to remember my password every time. I don't love the fact that I can't see my usage. I've taken initiatives to make my residence more green and reduce my monthly bill costs. I can't do that with this app to see if my usage has indeed gone down. I have to sign in on the actual website.
I had a scheduled payment for the due date for the bill to be taken out of my bank account, which was an accident when I set up the recurring payment. I paid the bill early, like I normally do, thinking that would be that and my bill would be paid. Xcel took the money out of my bank account for the bill on the due date anyway even after the bill had been already paid, putting my bank account into negative money. Now xcel has my bill balance as negative which I don’t understand why they would take the money out after the bill has been paid. How do I get the refund for a bill being paid twice?
