Xfinity Security System by Comcast
So far so good for 2 days... I was prompted by an update while checking my Security system when I was travelling in Europe 3 weeks ago and that was the last time I was able to use my apps. Upon returning home from my travel, took 7-10 days, 3 calls (45-60 mins. each time) to Xfinity support system to finally resolve issue by the "advanced support" who was supposed to call me within 24-48 hours (never got the call) - on my 3rd call, out of frustration, I insisted on talking to somebody who can help, finally got somebody from "advanced support" and after about 40 minutes the problem was finally resolved and apps working well past couple of days. It is a great apps when functioning enabling me to check my house anywhere in the world.
The xfinity home app is absolutely the worst!
The app takes too long to view cameras, by the time the camera functions the person at front door has already left!
Another issue is there is constantly 'errors' connecting to app.
If I try to use the 'light' function, once again it reads 'error.'
The concept is great, if the app worked!!
I have spent so much time talking to xfinity only to be more irritated because the customer service is also terrible!
Comcast/xfinity want my money or threaten to interrupt service, however, they DO NOT fulfill the contract by providing service I am paying.
Once contract expires I will go back to ADT!
I cannot recommend xfinity home nor can I commend the customer service, or lack of, because comcast/xfinity DOES NOT care about the service, they just sucker one to get and then does NOT fulfill contractual obligations!!
Latest update is atrocious. Won't load my cameras, shows connecting to camera but never works. I know it has to be the update since my wife hasn't updated the app and the cameras appear just fine on the app. Also since the new update and your app added itself to my phone contacts, I no longer receive text message notifications when the alarm is armed and disarmed. I check my portal setting and it shows that the rules allow for text messages. Fix this
