I like it better than ADT
Really enjoy the system and app. ADT app is junk compared to XFINITY. Of course it's not perfect (what ever is) but they seem to have regular updates and try and address issues and add things. And any issues I've run into is nothing terrible or would make me hate the system.
This below wishes I had for them were actually completed in upgrades:
I wish you could set notification rules using the app and they were sent using push notifications (text and email only now). I don't like using the full website to do that. Also the rules setting is very restrictive. I would like to set a rule of the garage door is open for longer than 15 minutes the system sends a text or push notification to me... As my garage sensors is set to 24hr monitor.
All above corrected.
But these issues are just minor. Overall it's a very responsive, dependable and intuitive app and system. But hope they continue to evolve and improve it. It's far more advanced than ADT.
Today I would say bring Co2 sensors back, and a wall mount touch screen pad. I would also like to be notified when a power outage has occurred at my home and send me a text or push.
Switched from ADT
Really like it. Upgraded to X1 two weeks ago. It is easy to setup, and that gave me the option to add Xfinity Home. Being able to view two new camera images, and Arm/Disarm from my iPhone6 is very nice for a 69 year old. The Touch ID works fine too. We have the latest Xfinity Modem, which enhanced the range for communicating with the wireless Cameras. The camera image is a little slow to load after a session is ended.
I'm happy! With our porch lights ON, the camera images are in Color AT NIGHT! 🤓
Could Use One Improvement
Switched from ADT which I'd had for 15 years. The one thing I liked about the ADT keypad over XFINITY is the electronic green or red light that showed me the system status through the front door sidelites from outdoors. Always felt this was an extra level of deterrent.
Of course, with X I love the ability to turn on and off the system and see activity via the app. Also like the electronic monitor that also provides weather, a clock and other useful information.
So, on balance, I prefer X and would recommend it highly!
