Comcast does not even deserve one star!

Comcast service is the worst I've ever seen. I have been a loyal, abused customer for over ten years and have never experienced a worse company in my life. Over ten years and they can't provide me with even adequate service no matter how much money I give them. This app is a summary of their incompetence and horrible service. Just like my television stations, the app freezes constantly. Yes, my televisions freeze with their horrible service! No matter how much MORE money I give them or upgrade my service until I've maxed out the possibilities. So naturally, so does the app freeze. It freezes, the audio cuts out, the videos cuts out, I have to restart it regularly, not that it ever improves. Just like my subpar service which they can never fix. It's horrible service. They take their customers for granted and neglect/ignore them. They're horrible! Sometimes the services don't even freeze. They just quit or refuse to play with random error codes with no justification. Playback errors. Unknown errors. On the apps. On my TVs. On multiple devices. On television. On wifi. On cellular. It doesn't matter. The service just goes off, my TVs black for hours on end. Their service is sometimes non existent. My televisions in my house just don't get any channels. Comcast quits out. Wifi out for no reason for hours. AND EVER SINGLE PERSON I TALK TO WITH COMCAST EXPERIENCES THE SAME THING. I'm thinking class action suit at this point. Details to follow.

Buggy and not all you want it to be

I travel every week for work and my goal with this app is two fold: I want to be able to download shows to watch on the plane (because streaming is blocked), and I want to be able to watch all of the shows I could watch at home once I'm at the hotel (because hotels offer crappy channel options).

Downloading works well but occasionally crashes the app either while downloading or during playback. This is not a big deal and recovery is relatively quick. There is another bug in the app that's quite annoying - it says that you can have 10 shows downloaded at a time but it really only lets you download 8. On a coast to coast flight, I can watch 8 30-minute shows and still have lots of travel time to fill. C'mon Comcast this is an easy bug to fix. Also why the limit of 10 in the first place? Is this just some random number you picked and if so please keep us million milers in mind when you set such limits.

As for watching the shows that I pay for via my subscription like I can at home, I have yet to be able to do this as I was hoping. There are only "some" channels that support live streaming and none of them ever seem to be what I want to watch. I don't understand why this is so limited, but as far as I'm concerned it's useless in its current format. I'm still stuck watching whatever crap is offered in my hotel.


Comcast is complicated. First it works, then it doesn't. But the app never works. It tells me I have a playback error or network connection error when I'm not doing anything wrong; they are. If I could I would give this 0 stars because it doesn't let me watch my shows and it's difficult and expensive to stream. I wish you would stop the bugs because it won't let me watch ANY SHOWS OR MOVIES BECAUSE IT SAYS THERE IS A PROBLEM. I'm paying a lot for the company so I don't want to be let down but it saying everything is unavailable??? Honestly. Fix it or I'll change services, which I probably should've done a while ago.

Also, I don't want to hear that junk about not having a compatible and updated device when I just got a brand new fresh out of the box iPhone 6 just 3 days ago.

This app is crazy and don't even get me started on Comcast...we bought a $300 wifi router and it lasted a couple months. And then...we had to reset the internet every half hour. Every half hour we had to walk down to our cold and non renovated basement to unplug, wait 5 minutes and then re plug. We just bought a new router a couple weeks ago and so far it's okay. Not as many glitches. But seriously...get your stuff together, Xfinity!
