Comcast doesn't deserve one star!
Comcast service is the worst I've ever seen. I have been a loyal, abused customer for over ten years and have never experienced a worse company in my life. Over ten years and they can't provide me with even adequate service no matter how much money I give them. This app is a summary of their incompetence and horrible service. Just like my television stations, the app freezes constantly. Yes, my televisions freeze with their horrible service! No matter how much MORE money I give them or upgrade my service until I've maxed out the possibilities. So naturally, so does the app freeze. It freezes, the audio cuts out, the videos cuts out, I have to restart it regularly, not that it ever improves. Just like my subpar service which they can never fix. It's horrible service. They take their customers for granted and neglect/ignore them. They're horrible! Sometimes the services don't even freeze. They just quit or refuse to play with random error codes with no justification. Playback errors. Unknown errors. On the apps. On my TVs. On multiple devices. On television. On wifi. On cellular. It doesn't matter. The service just goes off, my TVs black for hours on end. Their service is sometimes non existent. My televisions in my house just don't get any channels. Comcast quits out. Wifi out for no reason for hours. AND EVER SINGLE PERSON I TALK TO WITH COMCAST EXPERIENCES THE SAME THING. I'm thinking class action suit at this point. Details to follow.
Xfinity Remote App is Horrible
It's day 3, a month ago I was able to record my shows from my application. Came back from vacation and the DVDR would not detect the DVDR showing error message. There was no record button available in the application? I was told I had to replace the DVDR and still it is not working. I work all the time and have missed many favorite shows that I could not record ? I have two ticket numbers out There and no one can fix this error ( app used on my iPhone 6plus) and iPhone 5, not working!
The malfunctioned DVDR was returned and the new is installed but the application shows my DVDR is full, cannot record? How can that be if I got a new DVDR? Is the app not cleared from the system showing a new device? It is day 3 now midnight and no results. I planned to record my seasonal final shows and I missed them all! This is absolutely a waste of my time, and having to pay for something not working?
Good -sometime,other times no so
This is excellent at least in my area in that it's a good listing of everything on Comcast cable, although it's limited to about two weeks. Be better going out for at least a month.
Its downfall is the really poor job of setting recordings, particularly a series. Although setting a series to only record new shows it also picks up many repeats of that series if old ones are also being currently shown. It's also maddening to try to manually prevent those from being recorded. This app just goes a little crazy trying to handle series. Sadly I have to use the Comcast control to do this and even then it often doesn't do it right. Come on Comcast. Do it right or explain why you can't.
