I do like it- when it works.
This app is quite convenient when it works. It's great on an iPad for traveling to the kitchen or the bathroom. There's needs to be a reliability update. It seems that when switching from am outside network then back to my home network, he apps takes quite a while to update the information. Sometimes failing to do so all together. Please fix.
It will get one additional star when you can tap the top and have the guide automatically snap-scroll back up.
It'd be nice when programs can be streamed when away from the home network. But I know that's more about content management and licensing and all that jazz.
Awesome app with a few flaws
This is an awesome app but it has a few flaws: first, the video is being displayed full screen on the iPad and I would rather have the full width of the broadcast. Second, it makes zero sense that you cannot display the content on your TV. I understand that it could be some licensing issue, but if the app were to be treated as a secondary cable box, perhaps with an optional tiny fee (to deal with the licensing issues) for it to get the content onto your TV, that would be great! I would use it as my primary cable box in that case.
Overall awesome app with a few drawbacks.
This app freezes five seconds into starting up. It constantly lags. The layout and controls leave much to be desired. In short: horrible. Absolutely horrible.
Comcast should honestly be ashamed to put something of this shoddy quality on The App Store. Yes, I realize this sounds a bit hyperbolized: it is just an app, after all. But seriously: if you're a company who OWNS NBC, and pretty much has a monopoly in the cable TV market, you'd THINK you'd be able to create a decent working app, or at the very least throw oodles of dollars (which Comcast has in spades) at a decent development team.
But no. Comcast is crap, and it seems like it'll always be that way.
