Dear Comcast, I remember seeing your commercial for the first time for the Xfinity xFi app. I said to myself *wow you know what it’s about Time a internet provider company has released something such as this where I am able to actually have my kids on a true internet schedule but where at the same time if they have done something to earn extra time they are prompted more time at my leisure* but now being 3 months I’ve been an over of this xFi app and the whole service and general I’d love to say that I enjoy every new update that releases but I just sadly cannot. First of all: an issue is about 70% of the time our internet loses connection for the wirelessly connected devices but for Ethernet connected devices such as my sons Xbox he says (and I have witnessed) that the internet does in-fact still work for him. Second of all: on the xFi app all the names for the devices I’ve personalized for everyone seem to reset (not including sections for each person) it only resets the names within each categorized profile for each other member of the family, and third of all: please allow us to see live status reports of how our router is preforming, with notifications of when Comcast will be preforming updates for your router. Thank you to the developers for reading this message, for now I have given this app/review four stars as I still enjoy the app/services concept but until I see at least one of the three issues worked on I will give five stars !.

With respect to your devices losing internet connection, it sounds like you may be experiencing a general connectivity issue with your Gateway. I would be happy to get this directed to the department that can assist with this troubleshooting. Specific to xFi, we would like to take a look into the devices where the personalization is being reset. No stars would be better

Having fun!!!!

I’ve had this same cable service for over 20yrs. & everything worked fine until they decided to come into our homes & install their “boxes” just a way for them to invade our privacy in my opinion. I never had a problem before their boxes were installed. Now my bill is over $200 a month for basic cable, no movie channels, just basic & internet that I got when it was $10 a month. But the main issue is me having to reset my box a minimum of 5 times a day sometimes more! They’ve had at least 10-15 different technicians out here to try & fix the problem, never have. They always just used to say it must be old wiring on the outside of the building. But they couldn’t replace those wires. So now that I’ve moved I’m still getting the same problems! Making me reset my box in the middle of a movie or whatever I'm trying to watch. I’m so sick of this Comcast B.S. & all their excuses! Why can’t you just fix it once & for all? Please don’t order anything from Comcast, it’s obviously junk! Nothing but problems from day 1! Oh almost forgot, they actually offered to credit my account $10 on a $200 or more bill? For all this crap every single day? How about every time you make me reset my box you credit me $10? That sounds much better to me. No, I’d rather just have cable that actually works all the time, and I’ve told them this but still they’ve done nothing about it!!

I love the app. But I gave it three stars because it only lets you set the sleep time for pre-adjusted times. I’m not able to set my own sleep and wake times. Which would be very, very useful if I could. Like for example with the pre-adjusted time I have the Wi-Fi paused at 9:30pmand I can only have turned back on all the way up to 8:30am. I would like to be able to set my own sleep and wake time. Like for instance I have my children’s Wi-Fi paused at 9:30 PM and I would like to have it un-paused at 5:00pm the next day. Because my room is on the other side of the house so I have the Wi-Fi paused at 9:30pm to make sure my children are not getting on their games, phones etc. after I go to bed. In the mornings my children get up and go to school. Well sometimes I’m not always home when they get home from school. They know they are to do their homework before playing on the games, phones etc. but as anyone should know any teenager is not going to follow through on what they are supposed to do especially when a parent is not home to make sure they do as their told. That’s why I would like to be able to set the sleep and wake time as to what fits my lifestyle.
