What's New in Version 3.0.1

We just released a revamped TV Remote a couple weeks ago, and now we're back with a few more improvements. (We've also worked out -- and continue to hunt down -- a few server-side issues that have been affecting device lists and channel lineups. Those will continue to be resolved with service deployments and won't require an app update.) Updates to the app since 3.0.0:

The return of Kids, Sports, and Movies filters! You can find them -- and combine them -- with the HD, SAP, and CC filers in the Filter menu.

Record button label now properly changes to Cancel when you record a show. (If it's part of a series, it'll say Record Episode or Cancel Episode and give a series option when you tap.)

Watch on TV and Record buttons have moved to the top of the listing details on phones to make room for the full show description. Nobody likes a sentence that never...

Performance improvements around loading and scrolling, and a bunch of small bug fixes.

Finally! Now I don't have to keep searching for my d✩mn lost tv remote. I love that I can just view the TV guide and shows description right on the app and not have to strain my eyes trying to read about what's on, on the tv screen itself. And it's super easy to use. Just sign in with my comcast email, find what I want to watch On The apps guide and click a button to change the channel. and I can simply enter the channel number if I already know what I want to watch. The only downside is that this app doesn't have a volume button☹ if they would add that then this app would be perfect!

Useful, but limited

Useful to viewing programming guide and changing channels, but I don't understand why xfinity hasn't integrated the functionality of the X1 remote into this app now that X1 is widely available and used. At the very least, a directional pad in the number pad feature would be incredibly useful—the convenience of this app is undone by the need to have the actual remote nearby at times.

The back button when viewing program information is far too close to the button to select which box to control. It needs to be spaced. (Why does this app still not have edge navigation?)

Aside: Xfinity's apps would probably have much better ratings if they provided a means of giving feedback other than App Store ratings or customer service.

Crashing App

This app constantly crashes on both my iPhone 6 and iPad Air. I deleted and reloaded the app but it still crashes on both devices after about 20 seconds of use. I have no problems with other apps on either device. Since I have problems on both devices I know it is not my device. I have contacted Xfinity a number of times but they either do not know or care about this problem.

This app is so bad (the prior version was great) that my prior review will not send: see above. For this review my complaint is that most times I see no listings and when I do see listings, if I click on an event nothing shows up except the twirling ball indicating it is still looking. They did fix the filters since initially you could not filter on sports or movies like you could with the old version.
