What's New in Version 3.0.1

We just released a revamped TV Remote a couple weeks ago, and now we're back with a few more improvements. (We've also worked out -- and continue to hunt down -- a few server-side issues that have been affecting device lists and channel lineups. Those will continue to be resolved with service deployments and won't require an app update.) Updates to the app since 3.0.0:

The return of Kids, Sports, and Movies filters! You can find them -- and combine them -- with the HD, SAP, and CC filers in the Filter menu.

Record button label now properly changes to Cancel when you record a show. (If it's part of a series, it'll say Record Episode or Cancel Episode and give a series option when you tap.)

Watch on TV and Record buttons have moved to the top of the listing details on phones to make room for the full show description. Nobody likes a sentence that never...

Performance improvements around loading and scrolling, and a bunch of small bug fixes.

Things have improved

All of the options of the old App is now available but in a different format. After using it several times, it is much easier to use then after the first update. It took a while to find the old options but they are all available. This is still a great program that i enjoy using. The channel locator, access to all TV locations, being able to change channels in another room, search function, On Demand and recording programs make this a winner. Next change should be voice control.

First attempt to use was a disaster. Second time most of my objections were fixed. The changes do not improve the old version and only attests to the adage, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" Now, when you record a program it no longer shows the red dot which told us what had been recorded. To find the recorded program list is much harder to find. Please remove the upgrade and bring back the old version. It was a GREAT program.

Missing channels

I have called about missing channels on the app. I like to check upcoming shows and not disturb the current program that is on the tv. While I can do this for some channels there are quite a lot of channels that do not appear on the app but do show on the actual TV listings. The answer I got from Comcast was to uninstall and reinstall the app...but this did nothing....their response was "we don't have anything else to try but one of these days we may fix it and maybe it will work!" REALLY Comcast?! That is your tech solution!! Tried to speak to a supervisor who said to hold on and we will see how to fix this and then I was disconnected.....as usual.... with no call back! So frustrating using the app and speaking with Comcast! This is in addition to our monthly bill which almost every month needs to be adjusted due to billing errors! Very disappointed in Comcast!

Great!

Finally! Now I don't have to keep searching for my d✩mn lost tv remote. I love that I can just view the TV guide and shows description right on the app and not have to strain my eyes trying to read about what's on, on the tv screen itself. And it's super easy to use. Just sign in with my comcast email, find what I want to watch On The apps guide and click a button to change the channel. and I can simply enter the channel number if I already know what I want to watch. The only downside is that this app doesn't have a volume button☹ if they would add that then this app would be perfect!
