Yahoo = 💩
All of the "accessible data" and the "functionality to interact with the data" that has been in previous versions is NOT in this new version - version 8.x of the iOS app. This latest version is no longer sortable by every column header as all previous versions. Without data/statistics there would be no fantasy sports. Any application that does NOT respect this fact becomes marginal to the user base (e.g. real fantasy sports enthusiasts) responsible for the application's existence in the first place. Please develop this app to INCLUDE the most data/statistics possible and to make the resulting data tables sortable by any column; displaying the most data on the screen, with minimal scrolling, that is realistically possible. This is a MOBILE fantasy sports app, it's not meant to be flashy or pretty, it's supposed to be as comprehensive and efficient as possible to assist all users in making optimal decisions in a quick and effective manner regardless of whether they ever have access to a computer. Having a #Yahoo Fantasy Sports App that's both completely FUNCTIONAL and ENJOYABLE to use without having to wait months, going through multiple iterations and releases - would be a novel concept.
BTW, beta testing, before introducing radical UI/UX changes into an official release is still considered a reliable and productive approach to agile development to avoid mass user defection.
Can you please fix these things?
On my iPhone when you go to view a trade offer and you select projected remaining points it doesn't show them. No matter what you select it shows the default. I believe the default is points they have for the season so far. Can you fix that? Other than that I really haven't had any issues. I liked the app before and I like the changes that have been made so far, even though I didn't know I needed them, they were good changes. Oh and one more thing, that doesn't matter to me now, but will next year, I couldn't figure out how to open the bid for a player at higher than a dollar in an auction league when drafting from my phone. You can do it on computer. Maybe you can't, maybe you can, but if you can it should be easier to figure out. Thanks, hope you see this. I would love to get that issue fixed.
Update: Also can you add the date a transaction or trade will be processed to the screen that's shown when you tap the pending transaction link?
Roll back to older version.
More recent updates has some bugs. Notifications are taking away from the fun with constant notices of who to pick up in waiver wires. For the fantasy fan who puts in time to research of who to pick up in claims and the next day yahoo sends out the news wire notification tells the whole league to pick up those players it gets pretty annoying that you can't get those players. It used to be just four years ago if you did the research and looked for up and comers or handcuffs you might get them even if you're near the bottom of the waiver priorities. Now it's a for sure thing you won't get those pickups unless luckily your rotated to first in waivers, because of the constant notifications alerting every person in the league who to pick up. Just kind of defeats the purpose of researching and what I thought was the fun part of getting free agents or waivers and makes it that anyone who doesn't know anything about football be told of who to pick up.
