Squirrel is now Yahoo Together and is open to all! Based on feedback from our early adopters (shout out to you all for helping us shape the product), we’ve updated the design to make it easier to use and more useful for you. We’ve also added some new features, like smart reminders, so now you can tap any message to set a scheduled automatic reminder for the group.
This version fixes a bug that prevented some users from starting new direct message conversations.
Ratings and Reviews
It’s not the most user friendly app. UI isn’t that great. The view is too compact. It’s not intuitive to navigate around. I get notifications for new messages and when I access the app, it takes a while for the new message to load. Sometimes I’d have to close the app and re-open a few times for it to appear. The majority of my friends and family either use WhatsApp or Viber, so they have no intention of trying this out if there’s no compelling reason for it. Overall, it’s pretty meh for me.
Great for small groups
It’s great for small groups like our Life Group. We have different rooms that have different topics which keeps it organized.
The con, the notification badge does not clear. It says I have 1 notification but I’ve checked every room and nothing is pending. I have just turned off the badge notification so I don’t have to be annoyed with the false badge
It’s kinda stupid that this is an invite cuz someone has to first start it and then invite there friends and so forth and that can take for ever and day , it’s amazing how yahoo messenger has always had issues being supported , I like yahoo messenger cuz my friends from tagged or other dating sites were on it and I never allow anyone from dating sites to my Facebook site what’s so ever so now that leaves no messenger site for that what’s so ever , yahoo you really need to get your act together now I might have to start using my hotmail messenger now for it grrrrrr thanks a lot
