What's New in Version 9.1.0

The Newsroom app is the best way to stay up to date on news that matters to you and the conversation it starts. We update it on a regular basis to make sure you're always up to speed.

Note that in our last update, the elves that crank out our features were a bit backed up - something about a big deadline for some other project coming up at the end of December, around the 25th - and didn't get our shiny iPhone X optimizations into the box. They're in now though!

Customer Reviews

Please think about what you are reading news or opinion ?

I wrote a well balanced review suggesting people of any side read with critical thinking. They took down my review. I guess that’s pretty much an admission that they are not a news site but rather a liberal opinion site, which is fine. But don’t call yourself news. There are too many young people who don’t know that just because it’s on a site called news doesn’t really mean its news. Let’s see if my review, which reflects my opinion lasts more than a week this time. I wonder if the deep state will be knocking on my door or going after me now ? If I really used Yahoo I wouldn’t call them out for their bias because all of these web providers have powers dictators could have never even dreamed of. If I actually used them I doubt my websites would even work after writing this

Okay, too many video only articles.

The recent changes seem to throw a lot of video at readers in articles. Many times I like to just read article, then maybe watch associated video. Would be nice to be able to pause the video. Video uses a lot of data and even though many have unlimited plans the data is slowed down after a certain amount of data usage.

Looks great on iPhone X!

The full screen experience looks gorgeous on iPhone X.

Would be nice if there is an option to make the news feed more compact—maybe make the images smaller and on the side, so I can see more items at a glance without scrolling.
