Ratings and Reviews
This program has changed my life
I have lost 35 pounds since I started just from changing my eating habits and without exercising. I have replaced my extra large baggy clothes with slim fitting clothes. I have been punching extra holes in my belts since losing inches off my waist (from size 42” to 35”. The coaches are awesome and the program is very practical. You can have cheat days and enjoy all the foods you love as long as you have them in moderation.
The program works by taking pictures of your meals and uploading/sending them to the health coaches, who will rate your meal and give you practical suggestions. The coaches are experts in their field and very well qualified. Upon joining, you will receive a complimentary weighing scale that transmits your weight electronically and automatically to the yes health servers. You will also have the option to receive a free basic Fitbit activity tracker. For an additional amount, you can opt for a better model. The prices are subsidized, so I’d suggest spending a little extra and getting a better tracker instead of the free basic model.
My health insurance company sponsored it for the first year, so I didn't have to pay anything. Ask your insurance company today. Even if they don't, go ahead and signup anyway if you're overweight or obese. It’s life changing and totally worth it!! I’m a very happy customer (even though I paid nothing) 😃👍
A Great Idea!
I have now used the app for nearly a week and have interacted with various coaches. Rather new to the nutritious world, (although my wife has tried over the years to get me more interested in healthier enacting habits) I have only become more interested in what I eat, since both my primary doctor and cardiologist have told me to watch my eating habits more carefully. Using this app has made me look at the world of eating habits much more carefully. This the kind of interaction that will benefit me in establishing eating habits that will impact my health in positive ways. Thank you, Blue Cross, for making this kind of benefit available to us. It certainly comes at a special time in my life. Bravo!
Not for everyone
This app/program is not for me. I don’t like taking a picture of everything I eat or do. There is an option to type it in but then you have a “coach” provide their input on your entry. I don’t want their opinion on everything I eat. At least I’m logging my food which is the first step to awareness but then they judge or criticize it. The app doesn’t let you go back to edit an entry either. I logged my breakfast but hit “done” by mistake so I had to log a 2nd breakfast item. They were judged separately when in fact I ate them together. I think the “coach” responses are automated, not real people. So that’s deceiving. If it works for you, great! I found it to be negative and discouraging.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
