The Ragnarök is approaching! Save the cosmic ash tree and prevent the evil forces from destroying Yggdrasil!
Yggdrasil is a co-operative game in which you play the rôle of a Norse god (Odin, Thor, Tyr...). The gods must join forces and co-ordinate their efforts to repel the invasion of their enemies in Asgard.
If Evil is defeated, the players win all together. If not, the defeat is collective and it heralds the end of mythical time.
Goal of the game
During the ultimate fight between the Gods and their Enemies, you have to face the relentless advance of the monsters on the cosmic tree.
You will have no respite from the challenge for, each round, a monster will move forward and will frustrate your cleverly hatched plans. You will have to fight the big wolf Fenrir, the goddess of the dead Hel, Loki the traitor or the awful giants. For that purpose, you will need the help of the dwarves who supply you with artifacts, elves who support you in combat, the vanir with whom you must negotiate. The obtaining of the viking souls in Midgard and the management of their number will be decisive. Nine worlds will be at your disposal to get the key that will allows you to postpone the end of time. Link your actions together strategically and you will be able to bring Nidhögg the snake feeding on the root of the tree, Surt the flame demon or Jörmungand the gigantic water snake down.
Do not forget the magic of the runes and your divine powers, the last-dish key to your victory.
The application will offer you to choose the difficulty level of your game. According to your progress, you will unblock 3 new gods (Frigg, Vidar and Balder) and new special cards.
Will you be able to prevent the destruction of the worlds from happening?

Wow, what an amazing game.
I heard about this game since it came out, I never got a chance to play. I'd seen it on the tables at the game store and wondered just how difficult it could be, boy what a doozy.
I had heard about how it was difficult to read the rules and understand them and also with the video online and yeah that ladies definitely hard to understand. But I don't understand why people have such difficulty reading any of these rules specially when they're European imports I know that there's going to be a little misunderstanding. similar to other co-ops like Arkham horror, for not familiar with board games could seem a little strange anyways I don't know how anybody even beats this at all. I started to get the gist of it, accruing resources, waiting for certain enemies to become a problem and nipping others in the bud before they do, but still have yet to win even after playing it over 30 times. even pandemic with all the extensions added in doesn't compare. Either way I recommend it along with your local brain trust to help you figure it out at least.

Fun, challenging game
Haven't beat it yet, but I think I'll have better luck than with Ghost Stories! I love the art.
Please do fix the grammar, punctuation, and spelling mistakes. The ability to refer back to the rules without having to quit the game would be nice as well. When a giant appears, it is quite difficult to see its effect, given the small, transient panel that appears. Having it appear in a zoomed panel that requires a confirmation to dismiss would be helpful - otherwise the player has to re-open the giant world, find the new giant, and then search the main board for the effect. Zoom and pan functionality for the main board would be nice as well - there is a lot of information on the screen, and some of it is quite difficult to see. Oh, and while you can arrange the order of the gods on your "team," the order is not saved, so you have to re-order every time you play.
Plays well, though. Five stars from me if the grammar and spelling, etc., get fixed.
C'mon! No updates, not even a quicky to address the incredibly amateurish grammar and spelling? Don't you understand the importance of first impressions?
5 stars but how do you play??
i wish the tutorial did a little more hand holding as in walking me through a basic game scenario, maybe showing an example of all 9 actions and how they work. anyway, it doesn't do that so instead I spent an hour or so reading the rules, watching the boardgame reviews, and struggling to understand that swedish girl in those "walkthroughs" on You Tube. i'm now understanding more about how to play (something i expected from the tutorial) and the game is beginning to make sense and it looks and feels like it's going to be great fun! i've lost one game so far but the game mechanics are flawless and the graphics are fantastic. again, this is going to be a fun game to play!
minor complaints: it is real hard to tell what the ice giants are blocking/restricting. i lost my die roll and had a hell of a time figuring out which giant to kill. maybe, somehow without ruining the looks of things, the effect icon could be larger or allow us to tap on it to enlarge the card. also, there are more than a couple of spelling errors...ennemies :-)
