The YMCA PKC app provides class schedules, social media platforms, fitness goals, and in-club challenges. Our app will also allow you to link many of the popular fitness tracking devices and fitness apps on the market. It uses HealthKit to save your workouts, so they can contribute to your fitness goals and challenges progress.

This app does it all
The new Y app is a huge step forward from the old app, with added functionality and more interactive features. I love being able to set my own fitness goals and track my progress (getting points for real-world rewards is also a plus). I also enjoy being able to build my own workouts and capture a workout just by taking a photo of the cardio machine screen. The schedule feature makes it easy to find a drop-in class and notifications let me know if there are any changes or closures ahead of time. Overall, it really helps me work toward improving my health.
I really don’t want to have to create yet another login when the only thing I’m interested in is an app for keeping my ID card on my phone and checking schedules. The rest is useless to me (maybe not to others). At the very least, support the old app simultaneously for those of us that want something basic.
Tip to those like me: add your card to the Wallet app on your phone using the old app, then delete the old app- Wallet will retain the card and it works to scan you in. You can also bookmark the schedules on the mobile site (even by location). Little clunkier than the all-in-one-app solution, but better then all of the useless features in this app.
Not working as promised no support
Only got credit for 1 electronic check in for the month of March. Of course the people at the YMCA can’t help you or tell us why it doesn’t work. The capture feature is a hit and miss. You don’t know that your workout gets “captured” until you get an email that says OOPS something happened didn’t work. Now how are you going to get that workout back? Thank goodness for my Garmin Connect App to keep track of my workouts. I haven’t even made a template for a workout, we have no support at the Y
