Alyx is trained and certified in many different styles of yoga including Power Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga, and Restorative.
Alyx believes that there is a style of yoga out there for each individual, and that yoga truly gets better with time and age. She enjoys seeing the shift in adults and seniors who claim they are "not flexible" or "too old" to practice yoga, by tailoring a sequence that is serving to their needs.

Former yoga student and teacher but...
I studied yoga for quite a while and after going through the initial teacher training I continued my education with Restorative and Therapeutic yoga so that I could learn to work with my own restrictions that were mounting due to accidents and arthritis.
After being away from it for a while because of family issues I had really started to seize up. My hips, knees, ankles and even a pinched nerve in my left foot made conventional exercise and yoga not a logical choice for me. Then I found this program. I didn't want to have to go to classes that I couldn't afford, but I wanted to be able to do my yoga at first light every day as it really helped with the pain in my hips, spine and neck. It is remarkable. How quickly we forget. Now I don't mind getting up a little early for my yoga and closing it with savasana then 20 minutes of meditation. What a great start to my day. I hope that you are able to join in and create your own program here too.
Great app for those with physical limitations!
I've been looking a long time for a yoga app that is appropriate for someone with MS, and this is it! Yoga is great for everyone, but particularly for people who have to figure out how to live with poor balance and/or localized weaknesses. This app does not assume there is just one way "right" way to do something; instead it shows a variety of ways to get the same effect. Simple, easy to follow instructions with pictures to help. I love it, and will be sharing it with all my MS friends...
Great for beginners!
I was overwhelmed at the idea of going to a yoga class with my friend, but really need to get started on some good stretching and flexibility moves. She starts with chair yoga - from my chair! - and then moves on from there. One of the best apps I've downloaded and I'll write back when I get more bendy!
