“Yoga for Weight-Loss” is part of Saagara’s new series of apps for various ailments. Combining the simplicity of “Core Yoga” with traditionally therapeutic yoga poses, we’ve constructed an app aimed solely at helping users manage their weight.
While dieting has been shown to reduce visceral fat, exercise is essential for burning subcutaneous fat stores (those that cause belly and thigh fat). This app is designed to help you tone your abs, get in shape, and improve your overall health.
According to the yogic texts, excess fat must be converted to strength and energy for effective weight loss. “Yoga for Weight-Loss” has incorporated specific exercises which mobilize the body’s fat reserves and turn them into usable energy. Regular practice of these exercises makes the body lean and healthy.
“Yoga for Weight-Loss” draws upon traditional hatha yoga and was formulated by an expert in ancient yogic methods. The program guides you through several yoga poses while emphasizing correct breathing methods. As you become accustomed to the exercises, you can change the settings from beginner to intermediate to advanced, for a longer more effective session.

Users may want to first try our app "Core Yoga" which is better suited for beginners. After practicing "Core Yoga" for a few weeks, you should be able to comfortably practice "Yoga for Weight-Loss”.

It's good with only minor grpies.
I only tried the first five minutes (time restraint on my part) and I'm reviewing by the time I've spent in the app.
Overall, it looks like it has the complete basics. Pleasent voice guiding you through the steps with the animation showing you exactly what you have to do. The model is well designed and looks and bends like a human. My only gripe is that there's no full screen mode and that the animations are a tad fast. (Considering if you're new, you'll have to look at the screen several times to make sure you're doing it right which might lead you to get left behind.)
Slow down the animations a few milliseconds and give us full screen and I'll gladly give you 5/5 instead of the current 4/5 rating. Also, it would be nice with some user graphic options. On my 2012 MBP (non-retina) the graphics seem choppy, not laggy but like it lacks anti-ailiasing. Not a big deal as it doesn't effect anything this app does. Keep up the good work and thank you for making this app free for today!
I agree with the others who commented that it moves fast. When you hit the start button you've got about 2 seconds to get into position. The pace of the routine is quick - it takes getting used to but after a couple of minutes isn't bad. Wish the workout was longer. I think the beginner routine is about 10 minutes.
The focus on position and breathing is great. Other yoga programs are essentially a deck of poses. The animation is smooth and the model looks human enough….overall I'd buy it again.
I absolutely love this app. I had it on just my iPhone originally but when they added voice over I put it all on my devices including my iPad and Mac. I'm using it much more now.
