YOU DON'T KNOW JACK Party

By Jackbox Games, Inc.

Description

It’s multiplayer YOU DON’T KNOW JACK! And your phones are the controllers!

"YOU DON'T KNOW JACK Party singlehandedly justifies the investment in Apple’s AirPlay ecosystem" - Mobile Syrup

Note: This app requires multiple devices or an Apple TV to play.

TWO WAYS TO PLAY:

1)On your TV – connect your iPhone or iPad to your Apple TV via Airplay. Then use your iPhones or iPads as controllers.*

2)On your iPad or iPhone – use your device as the screen that everyone watches, while using (different) iPhones or iPads as controllers.*

* Download the JackPad app separately to use your iPhone or iPad as a controller. For single-player games, you can play on your Apple TV and use your device as the controller, without the JackPad app.

That’s right, “the greatest quiz-show game ever made” according to The Onion’s A.V. Club can now be played as it was meant to be played: with friends, on your couch, with several pizzas, and beverages scattered about, and a rabbit that snuck in, and some work-release prisoners in the audience, with soothing jazz playing in the background, and the scent of vanilla coriander cinnamon candles in the air, while everyone wears those inflatable sumo wrestler costumes. Or… however you like to party. That’s just a suggestion.

YOU DON’T KNOW JACK Party highlights:

- Play with 1-4 players!
- Airplay the game to your TV!
- Use your iPhones and iPads as wireless controllers!
- Screw Your Neighbors and force them to answer! That’s right – the Screw is back.
- Multiple-Choice Questions, DisOrDats, and mind-spinning Jack Attacks!
- Specialty questions like Who’s the Dummy?, Funky Trash, and Cookie’s Fortune Cookie Fortunes with Cookie “Fortune Cookie” Masterson!

It’s the comedy trivia game where HIGH CULTURE and POP CULTURE collide. Covering everything from sharks to sharts, YOU DON’T KNOW JACK is the only trivia game that makes you laugh and think at the same time. And sometimes vomit a little.

So grab some friends, or friend, or imaginary friend, and play YOU DON’T KNOW JACK Party today. Unless you don’t have an iPad, iPhone, or TV. In which case, we suggest backgammon with your cat.

(P.S. If you don’t have an Apple TV but you do have the Apple Digital AV Adapter, that will work too!)

Disappointing.

Ever since the first YDKJ for PC, I was in love! And I was obnoxiously excited to find it for my apple devices. I actually loved the first app even with its lack of social game play. The second app rocks and I was excited to play against others but WHY do I need to be a Facebook member to be equally involved in game play? YDKJ party was suppose to be the solution. I thought it would be the bridge between the two apps that would replicate the old PC game's former glory. Instead YDKJ party provides you with only one round to play. If you want to play this game for more than 15 mins then they will provide you with 5 more games for $2.99. And so on, until you have potentially purchased a very expensive game that can only be played through an apple devise... And can't be played for an appropriate amount of time compared to how much it costs.

Great idea but disappointing.

It's GREAT... Good old YDKJ from PC days

It's $10 to buy all 31 episodes. That's a good deal if you ask me. And I have only paid for 4 of my apps. This is just classic YDKJ, and it brought me right back to the first time I ever played, so I HAD to buy the full version.

IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM STARTING UP OR DOWNLOADING THE FULL VERSION:

I had trouble connecting two or more iPhone controllers to the iPad screen, until I tried turning on all iPhones first, and then starting the app. Also, it got stuck when I bought the full version, so I just deleted the app and redownloaded everything. HAVE FUN!

Disappointing... Needs work.

I want to rate this higher because I love this game, but I have a few things I would love to see changed. 1. I had a problem with my Galaxy S4 Mini as the jackpad. The buttons had the Ouya pattern instead of the Jack buttons. I had to close the app first in order to reset it. 2. There is NO QUESTION RANDOMIZATION like on the Facebook version. I understand having several episodes, but you should make a bigger question bank for each episode. It makes things too easy. Fix these and I will gladly buy this for parties and rate higher.
