Beyond all expectations

Just started guitar a few weeks ago, immediately picking up this app, and I'm beyond impressed at the progress I'm making. Just a few weeks and I'm already close to nailing The Beatles yesterday, among many other of my favorites. Of course it's a limited version of the songs , but it's tough enough for a newbie and the app ramps up the difficulty at a perfect pace. I hope to be playing the full versions of the songs by the end of the year, and thanks to Yousician, I think it'll happen.

I love how in the advertisement they say it doesn't include the aggravation of learning the guitar when it does. They take the lessons too fast. They hardly teach you the notes you need to learn and when they do they time you. They give you 45 seconds to play as many notes as you can only provided a tablature guide without discussing the notes first. That is 1 putting on pressure to get the notes right and 2 you aren't focusing on learning the notes but on how fast to play them. And this is how they expect you to learn it! At first I was enjoying it and everything was fine. Then they started throwing notes at me and expecting me to play them after 45 seconds of teaching them. It's was awful and stressful. So thanks for nothing.

Learning has never been easier

I was in choir for 16 years; I know my music theory and I used to play piano as a kid. However I haven't played in years.
I really enjoy this app because I can start learning from scratch (or wherever the person feels comfortable) and it's super easy to learn, even if someone has never touched an instrument or learned anything regarding music.
Plus, it's really nice that the app can detect your piano notes while playing to see how well you performed. It's like a virtual teacher, and it's fun!
