Bible Lens transforms your everyday photos into profound, Biblically-based artistic shareable images. Bible Lens lets you take a picture, or point to one you already have. It detects not only objects in your photo, but more importantly, the Biblical themes of the moment that photo captured… and then suggests Bible verses to match!
Bible Lens’ Discover feature auto-magically creates new Bible art from pictures you took 5 days ago… or 5 years ago. Discover finds the pictures in your camera roll with the greatest potential to become dazzling Verse Images. Then, it amazes you with special moments from your past, now revealed through the lens of God’s Word.
Just as with the photos you take using Bible Lens, Discover lets you experiment with colors, fonts, and more, saving your favorites and sharing to your heart’s content.

YouVersion has done a great job with this app and made something that is both social and devotional in nature, but it has one huge flaw. I absolutely love this app, except for one thing: I can’t add verses of my own choosing to my pictures. I really enjoy the feature where the app suggests verses for your pictures. It’s both a cool way to share your pictures with others, but it also sometimes helps one see their everyday lives through the lens of the gospel. I just wish it allowed me to select my own scripture references, or even allow me to manually type them in through the edit feature. I want to be able to put my scripture memory verses on pictures I have taken, or to add verse that a particular place or event I photographed reminded me of. I would have given this app five stars, but I find I don’t hardly use the app because I can’t choose the verses I want. If it is updated in the future to add this feature or something similar I will be extremely thankful and find a great deal more use out of it.
Thank you to the developers for listening to the feedback users gave them, and thank you for specifically answering my own concerns. With the new update you can finally choose your own verse that you prefer, which was my only critique. Now the app is wonderful, and I look forward to using it more.
Developer Response ,
Hello and thanks for your review! In the latest version, we do offer the option to choose your own verse. Make sure you update (and update your review if you like the change!)! Thank you!
App is great! But there are a few aggravation’s
I really like the different ways you can frame the picture up. The options are much better than what you can do in the Bible app. But I don’t like the fact that I can’t move the picture inside the frame to highlight a specific part. This is also true if you want to crop a photo. It automatically centers the photo inside your selection. So if you want to move the photo left or right or up or down or resize it in this, you are out of luck.
I would also like the option of selecting my own verse. I know I can basically do that inside the Bible app but the picture options are better in this app as I already mentioned.
These are only minor complaints because over all I really like the app and it’s really inspiring how it manages to find verses you either didn’t know or didn’t think about to pair with your photo. I admit I’ve only used it to search my existing photo library so I don’t know if the experience is any different with a live camera shot. I hope so since it seems to be geared towards that. Blessings to the developers and keep up the good work.
Loving it always just like I love god
If your not Christian this probably is interesting. It is an inspiration they did a great job. I’m a Christian and this has made me more interested in the Bible and all the Bible verses such as proverbs 18:24 a man of many companions may. One to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother and Corinthians 6:12 I have the right to do anything ,” you say- but not everything is beneficial. I have the right to do anything- but I will not be mastered by anything if you are interested in those verses then check the others out those are only two of the millions of verses. (This sentence is for people who are not Christians) god is good actually god is great I’m not a preacher but he changes you if you were a nonbeliever living in a car and you found god you will find yourself as a believer in a mansion. I can’t name all my other reasons because there is to many to name I hope you like my reasons so go on and have a believing faithful live .remember you are beautiful to god .
