YubiKey is a small hardware device used for two-factor authentication.
The YubiKey Personalization Tool is an application to customize a YubiKey with your own cryptographic key and mode options for one-time password, static password, or challenge-response. It can also be used to identify the firmware on a key, its serial number, and which features it supports. Use the YubiKey Personalization Tool to configure a single YubiKey, or configure multiple keys in batches (up to 100).
- Resolved an issue when doing consecutive programming that reset the ID to 0.
- Resolved a case where the image on an old key might be shown momentarily.
- Updated icons and images in the user interface.
- Updated the Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows builds to Qt version 5.5 (a user interface tool).

Works well! Wish it were retina-ready.
It's unfortunate that this app has not been updated for HiDPI displays, but when it comes down to it, it performs everything needed to manage a Yubikey. I prefer using the command line for most management, but if there's ever a time I need to update something on my Yubikey without looking up a man page or documentation, the GUI tool does exactly what I need with no issues whatsoever.
I guess it works, but terrible app
App has a lot of features, but the UX is terrible. Nothing is clear about what it does. Takes a lot of googling to use it.
Difficult to understand, but it gets the job done
All of the users complaining that this is too “Complicated” need to hush and start doing some googling. You are the ones who decided to buy a secure USB key, and therefore, you will need to take the time to understand what you are actually doing to secure your mac and other accounts. This is a COMPLEX App, but not nearly as complex as other apps out there. However, if you take the time to understand it, you will be able to really understand how to secure your Mac. This is not APPLE “2 clicks” friendly. But it works and does what it is supposed to do. My bigger issue is not with this app, but moreso with the ubikey command line tools for mac which seem to be missing after installation. Good luck and be prepared to google and read. Understand encryption and algorighthms etc. etc.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
