YubiKey Personalization Tool
Open the Mac App Store to buy and download apps.
YubiKey is a small hardware device used for two-factor authentication.
The YubiKey Personalization Tool is an application to customize a YubiKey with your own cryptographic key and mode options for one-time password, static password, or challenge-response. It can also be used to identify the firmware on a key, its serial number, and which features it supports. Use the YubiKey Personalization Tool to configure a single YubiKey, or configure multiple keys in batches (up to 100).
What's New in Version 3.1.24
- Resolved an issue when doing consecutive programming that reset the ID to 0.
- Resolved a case where the image on an old key might be shown momentarily.
- Updated icons and images in the user interface.
- Updated the Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows builds to Qt version 5.5 (a user interface tool).
YPT with Standard YubiKey
In MacOSx you have to launch the YubiKey Personaliza. Tool from the ROOT account (i.e., Admin account) in order for it to recognize your YubiKey.
If you try it while in any other user account you'll see an “unknown error occurred” message in the YPTool window when you insert your YubiKey into the computer’s USB slots.
Works, but looks aweful
This app works as expected, however it looks horrible on my Retina Macbook Pro (almost to the point I can’t even read it). Things like this really show sloppy work, and lack of attention to detail. Very disapointed in this company, as I know they are better than that.
App needs some love…
So many burried config options, not enough details, poor IA and UX. Run of the mill “designed by a developer” app.
