Great recipes, horrible functionality
The recipes are great! However, the functionality of the app is horrible. The app opens and after 15 seconds reboots and all the recipes change. It does this every time you go back to the main page. Too often, when I click to browse a category, the recipes are irrelevant, again, this would be after the really great ones show up first, and then the page reboots and they all change.. And it doesn't seem to be because of any set preferences that I have. When I search a key word, my specific results are limited and the next few times I use the app, all these other recipes that fit my previous search will show that weren't in my initial search. A little too late..
I do love this app, and use it all the time. BUT! Always try to print your recipe before you start. I find it incredibly annoying that even though the window to your recipe is open, when you come back after whatever stage you are at, and it seems the recipe is still open, the software has a timeout and the whole thing refreshes back to the main page. So if you haven't bookmarked or 'yummed' it, you have another 20 min of searching for the same recipe again. GRRRR!!!
Saying that, otherwise it's still the best recipe app I've seen anywhere!
Best Recipe App Out There
This is now my favorite recipe site. I can usually search and find many delicious sounding recipes for whatever I'm in the mood for. I have built up a nice little library of new favorites in "My Yums" that I now refer back to repeatedly. I do need to remember to tap on my iPad screen occasionally when I have it open to a recipe I'm cooking...it's quite frustrating to have the entire site close on me (I'm sure there's some way to reset that, but I haven't looked hard enough to find it).
