App is solid, device is good, not great
First disclosure, I received the device at a discount from Zensorium.
The app interface is very easy to use and intuitive. No issues there. The device is nice but a little cumbersome to use as it needs to be connected directly to the iphone which is not possible with a case on so next steps would be bluetooth connectivity. In terms of the data, there are two measures, the Vita index which is a measure of your overall fitness and the Zen index which is a measure of you stress level. If you are already fit the Vita index will just confirm that and if you are not likely vice-versa. I was in the former group so didn't have any progress to track per se. The Zen index though is a measure of your current level of stress and has been proven to be quite useful for me as stress management and allowing adequate recovery have been areas I haven't always focused on in the past. Overall, I would say the tinke is a decent addition for an avid fitness enthusiast but for someone looking for their first fitness tracking device I think an activity tracker to help motivate you to move and track your macros would be a better bet.
Great tool for overall fitness.
Now don’t be confused this product or app isn’t the next fitbit or the like. This app is to be paired with Tinke device too. I received a discount for that product in the purpose of review. I found the app to be very easy to use, i jut had to plug in my device and press my thumb on the monitor where my heart rate was take over a minute. While waiting for the device to read this, i was given plenty of tips on how to better my heart rate and overall health. I found this to be quite clever and great for those looking for this sort of tips. Some may be common sense but as someone who has been into health/fitness for sometime…i find it hard to say for the average person. I also like how i can share this product with my friends and clients, to monitor their heart rate before during and after our work outs to test their improvement :) its a great tool that i don’t think you can grow out of..like other fitness apps
Cool idea but needs some work...
I received the opportunity to use Tinke from Bzzagent. I was really excited to use the Zen piece of it because I was hoping I would gain further insight into how my breathing is linked to my stress levels. When I entered the Zen part of the App, it presented a few little circles that expanded and shrunk at different rates. I chose one that seemed to match my resting breathing rate. You are supposed to breathe in when it expands and exhale when it collapses. I did this a few times and kept getting really random scores. It didn't tell me ways I could improve my score and I question if it was scoring me accurately. However, it is very helpful to have a breathing guide because I tend to subconsciously hold my breath. Being conscious of this has really limited my anxiety and stress levels. In conclusion, I liked having something to help me get a good rhythm for my breathing but think the scoring part could use some work. I would certainly not pay the price it is going for because I don't utilize all the features and don't know how reliable the scores are.
