Zero G measures the longest duration that the phone is in free fall (i.e. – zero gravity).
During a jump, there is a period of free fall during which the accelerometer detects no force. In order to achieve a maximum Zero G time, you can try holding the phone with a straight arm and jump up and down. Similarly, it is possible to keep the phone in a pocket, but it should not be too loose nor should you move your hips aggressively during the jump, as this will shorten your free fall time. Skydivers often experience up to 60 seconds of free fall.
I took this app on my iPhone on the NASA Reduced Gravity Plane today (27-July-2011) and it works. Once we hit Zero G it started counting the time - about 20 seconds during each parabola. It would also show the 1.7-1.8 G's as well very accurately based on the G Meter on the plane. It works.
I wish I had this on when I did parabolas During my flying lesson.
Pretty good for the FREE price tag!
Good for messing around while doin parkour, me and my friends try to get the highest zero G
