Good, stable full function bank app.
This app is for Zions Bank account holders. Instantly see your account balance, deposit checks (certain limitations and restrictions apply) with your camera, pay bills and make transfers between Zions internal bank accounts and even with external accounts.
I have been a Zions customer for more than fifteen years. It has been such a terrific bank that even though I moved east (for my job) and the nearest bank location is now more than 800 miles away I have continued banking with Zions. This app is almost like having a local bank branch in my pocket.
Every function simply works and very easy to use, with functions grouped intuitively. However, my only dislike is that some of the navigation labels leave a little to be desired. Once you have used the app a little bit navigating around inside the app is easy and natural. As I said using a function in the app is easy, finding the functionality in the app can be difficult until you have used the app a few times and become familiar with it.
I don’t know if it’s an issue with the app or their online system in general, but every once in a while when I go to log on, it says that my login info is incorrect and that I must reset my password. So after going through the email and other verification steps to reset my password, I enter in the new password box the same password that I’ve always used that it originally said was invalid. After submitting, it comes up with an error and says that the password entered has been recently used and I must choose something different. I shouldn’t have to change my password every other month for no reason, but that’s exactly what this stupid bank makes me do. I app is glitchy and ineffective and until they make some big changes I try and avoid using them and I tell others to do the same. My chase app works great, as does mountain America. Please look into it.

Good App, Could be more intuitive
The Zion’s Bank has had its fair share of issues in the past, but I think most of the issues have been resolved.
The app functions properly most of the time and gives some nice simple overviews of your accounts. The layout is decent, but could be improved. The scan a check feature is a nice touch though. I’d love the app if they would combine their VISA rewards card point system with the app instead of having a separate app that doesn’t work very well.
Overall, the app works and is reliable. It provides a good basic overview of your banking accounts and provides most, if not all, the features your primarily use when using online banking.
