Ratings and Reviews
Agree with middle aged mom’s review
I too have had many calls, emails and a few interview setups using the 1 click apply option. Obviously I made sure that I had my best and most up to date resume uploaded to the site. I do agree there are way too many emails sent out as if a computer is doing “Boolean searches” and just matching up specific words or combination thereof linking me with jobs that I am either simply not interested in or are way above or below where I view my placement in the work force. Additionally, it would be nice to be able to have a few different versions of my resume to choose from (e.g. more specific to the career opportunity, and the same goes with being able to store a cover letter to upload as well.) One last thing or request I have for the site would be able to copy the answers I’ve written down on an application (especially for the same company, but other applications in the same industry asking the exact same questions... including name (social security, experience, wage, dates of the week I’m able to work, shifts, or wage expectations). If there are five jobs at the same company I’m interested in and believe I’m capable of doing a great job in; Well, in this scenario would be a huge time saver.
I am satisfies with the site, just offering suggestions to improve upon. Thanks for the great work guys and gals!
From Zero To Sixty Lightening Fast
Okay, so this review is as much about the company as the app. I applied to a job online that somehow forced me to create an account here. . . My goodness, in one week I have had two interviews with callbacks from both for second rounds as well as several multiple viewings. I am a mid-life mom reentering the workforce. My previous attempts at online submissions were seemingly lost in oblivion. I am stunned by the response I’ve had so far. The app seems functional enough. I agree with other reviewers that too many emails are sent and it should be easy to control those. In addition, I also think that I should be able to filter by salary or negate jobs in advance that are presented without salary info. It is the penultimate waste of time (for both the company and applicant) to go through an often lengthy interview process only to be offered a job for dismal pay that one would never have considered in the first place - maybe entry level workers don’t need this feature but those of us in the middle with, perhaps, supervisory or mid-level skills (not entry level but not MBA’s either) do need to know what the salary range is. Other than these two things I am very impressed. The most luck I’ve had in a job search in ages.
Is it a job or a career? It’s Zip-Recruiter!
I am a 57 years old man and never really looked for employment. I always had a job, so there was never a need to look for one, until recently when I found myself unemployed. I had no clue where to start or how to look for a job, until I heard an
advertisement on the radio for Zip-Recruiter. So I downloaded the app on my iPhone and wow you taught me the rest. I like the way you continue to interact with me, telling me the status of my applications throughout the process. As well as, at the same time giving me new job leads. I also downloaded the Indeed and Monster Apps, but hands down, Zip-Recruiter is the better product for a newbie like myself. I don’t have a job as of yet, but I have had two interviews and have three interviews scheduled this coming week. This time last week I was scared, lost, and I was hopeless that I would find a job, then I found Zip-Recruiter. In one week I was convinced that I’m not only going to find a job, but I’m going to find the career for the next phase of my life. Thank you Zip-Recruiter, you have made a difference in my life. And your the best buddy I got right now, oh with the exception of my dog. 😊
