About 40th Dimension

Anwar "Scandal" Morgan and Justin "Happ G" Gilmore comprise the funky rap duo, 40th Dimension. Friends since childhood, Scandal and Happ G formed 40th Dimension in 1998 in their native Philadelphia. Both were attending college at the time - Scandal was at Binghampton University while Happ G studied in New York City - but found time to create rhymes. 40th Dimension self-released The Clarence Beeks Project in mid-2000. This particular album showcased the pair's homemade recordings and demos. The "Super Scandalous" single appeared by Christmas of that year. Another single entitled "Zip It", which highlighted 40th Dimension's brassy cool style, appeared in August 2001. Within months Scandal and Happ G had moved on from college and planted themselves back in their Philly neighborhood. Music had become a serious thing - 40th Dimension released their debut album The Crop Report in late 2001. ~ MacKenzie Wilson
