About Adam Wakefield

Singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and touring musician Adam Scott-Wakefield cut his teeth in the Baltimore-based soul band Old Man Brown and Nashville's progressive bluegrass outfit the Copperheads before catching the public's attention as a contestant on season ten of The Voice. Born and raised in rural New Hampshire, he started playing guitar at the age of four. After studying music at the New School Jazz and Contemporary Arts Program in New York City, he moved to Baltimore and co-founded Old Man Brown, where he honed his deep, soulful voice. After relocating to Nashville and performing with the Copperheads, he auditioned for The Voice, eventually landing a spot on Blake Shelton's team. He made it into the finals and finished in second place. During that time, he had the number one song on iTunes, the self-penned "Lonesome, Broken, and Blue." ~ James Christopher Monger
