About Beehoover

After failing to get a more conventional four-piece ensemble off the ground, vocalist/guitarist/bassist Ingmar Petersen and drummer Claus-Peter Hamisch (otherwise known as the rhythm section for traditional doom band Voodooshock) launched Beehoover as a duo in 2004 from their home base of Esslingen, Germany. Beginning with the next year's A Mirror Is a Window's End EP, the duo began experimenting with a progressive blend of hard rock, stoner rock, heavy metal, and even Krautrock influences, quickly attracting the Exile on Mainstream label, and continuing to develop their sound over the course of several full-length albums, including 2007's The Sun Behind the Dustbin, 2008's Heavy Zooo [sic], and Concrete Catalyst. All the while, Beehoover has performed regularly despite their shorthanded lineup, opening mostly for doom and stoner rock groups, but regularly earning the respect of mainstream music critics as well. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia
