Northampton, MA-based Black Pyramid were born in 2007 with the union of vocalist/guitarist Andy Beresky, bassist Eric Beaudry, and drummer Clay Neely, who had previously been involved with bands like Artimus Pyledriver, Black F*****g Doom, and Palace in Thunderland. As such, their existing connections within the stoner rock and doom communities quickly led to a hookup with the Meteor City label and the release of a 2008 EP and 2009 full-length -- both self-titled -- featuring a progressive blend of doom, drone, and post-metal influences.
