About Brian Justin Crum

With a pure vocal tone, big range, and high-contrast, emotive delivery that found success in the world of musical theater and on the Billboard dance charts, Brian Justin Crum performed with several Broadway touring companies before launching a pop career. He found a broader audience as a contestant on NBC's America's Got Talent in 2016. Following his fourth-place finish on the show, he charted with his cover of Robyn's "Show Me Love," leading to an invitation to compete on 2019's America's Got Talent: The Champions.

A native of San Diego, California, Brian Justin Crum attended the city's School of Creative and Performing Arts before moving to New York City to audition for Broadway musicals. Between work in regional productions, he toured with the Broadway revival of Grease in 2008 and 2009, and he was an understudy in the Broadway production of Next to Normal in 2010. Along with appearing in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2011, Crum spent parts of the next two years with the touring company of The Addams Family before joining the tour of We Will Rock You beginning in late 2013. He then relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a pop singer.

In 2016, Crum's singing hit a national TV audience when he was selected to compete on the 11th season of America's Got Talent. He performed songs including Radiohead's "Creep" and Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror" on his way to a fourth-place finish. That same year, he co-starred in the web series Break: The Musical and released a cover of the Robyn hit "Show Me Love" that featured Toy Armada and DJ Grind. It made its way onto the Billboard Hot/Dance Electronic Songs and Dance Club Songs charts, reaching as high as number two on the latter in 2017. He followed it up with the solo EDM track "Wild Side" in November.

In early 2019, Crum was invited back to NBC for the inaugural edition of America's Got Talent: The Champions, where he made it into the finals with his performance of Elton John's "Your Song." ~ Marcy Donelson
