About Buddy Greco
Philly crooner Buddy Greco cultivated an ultra-hip, ultra-swinging demeanor over an incredible eight-decade career. Dubbed "the singer's singer," Greco honed his hyper-accentuated style as a teenager when he caught the ear of Benny Goodman and suddenly found himself touring with the 1930s' biggest name in music. By the 1940s, Greco was a nightclub regular, his versions of songs like "Ooh! Look-A-There, Ain't She Pretty?" and "The Lady Is a Tramp" eclipsing Frank Sinatra's as the standard-bearer in some circles. A tireless showman, Greco claimed to have played every major club in the world on at least two occasions, and his tour continued to roll into the 2000s. He died in Las Vegas in January 2017 at the age of 90.
