Cath Carroll

About Cath Carroll

With a sensibility honed by experience as a member of the British music press, Cath Carroll became their darling as a member of Miaow, a melodic, highly-politicized indie rock band who released a number of memorable sides on the Factory imprint. After that band's demise, she continued to record solo for the legendary Manchester label, wowing critics once more in 1991 with her debut ENGLAND MADE ME. She remade herself in the mid-'90s, crossing the Atlantic and joining Unrest's Mark Robinson's upstart indie pop label TeenBeat for the witty, understated TRUE CRIME MOTEL. Continually evolving, the eclectic Carroll amped up the atmospherics on the sublime GONDOLIERS OF GHOST LAKE in 2002.
