The origins of contemporary pop act Cloning Einstein traced back to the suburbs of Philadelphia, where lead singer/keyboardist Jeff James Beck and guitarist Joe Black collaborated in bands throughout their high school years. Forming Cloning Einstein with bassist Joe Dougherty, drummer Colin Diemer and vocalist Tom Scheid, the group gigged extensively at campuses and clubs throughout Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey, issuing their self-titled debut album in the fall of 1999. ~ Jason Ankeny
