About Comanche Moon

The writer of eleven songs recorded by roots rock band, the Beat Farmers, guitarist/vocalist Paul Kamanski (born: Redwood City, California, 1955) has increasingly drawn attention to his own band, Comanche Moon. The group's debut album, Electric Lizardland, received a San Diego Music Award as "best album of 1995." Kamanski has been a fixture on the San Diego music scene since the early-1980s, playing in a series of bands including the Electric Sons, the Pleasure Barons, which featured a young Dave Alvin, and Country Dick And The Snugglebunnies, where he met future Beat Farmers, Dan McLain and Joey Harris. His involvement with McLain went further than the Beat Farmers, penning two tunes, "Anywhere" and "Indigo Rider", for McLain's posthumously released solo album, The Devil Lied To Me. Formed in the mid-1980s, Comanche Moon performed many of their early shows as opening act for the Beat Farmers.
