Company Of Thieves

About Company Of Thieves

While its seductive, jazz-flecked indie rock sounded straight out of a decade earlier, Company of Thieves, led by the confidently coquettish vocals of Genevieve Schatz, became one of the most popular live attractions of late-'00s Chicago. By 2008, the quartet rose to the musical major leagues, giving alt-rock powerhouse Wind-Up Records a mellower counterpoint to the label’s standard post-grunge fare. The band proved as effervescent on wax as on stage, a subtle kick permeating its studied mature pop.
