In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember getting up on tables and singing when I was very young, before I was even in school. Then I got shy and didn't sing at all. I was a band nerd until college, and that's when I found my voice again. It took almost 20 years! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ella Fitzgerald, The Complete Ella Fitzgerald Song Books (Box Set) Etta James, Tell Mama Eva Cassidy, Live At Blues Alley International Version I love Ella singing all those great standards, it just doesn't get better. I chose Eva Cassidy's live album because she is simply astounding and covers so much ground, and Tell Mama by Etta James is one of my favorite albums of all time as well. Tell us why you chose this song. “Love Always Wins” Love Always Wins is one of my favorite originals to sing because everyone knows what it's like to be in the ups and downs of a relationship, but when you love someone you stick it out. Love does always win. I also love how the band plays on this one! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable so far was accepting my 1st WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) Award for Jazz Artist of the year in 2018. I've received other awards since then, which have also felt amazing, but the 1st was probably the most memorable. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd love to play the Jazz clubs in NYC, Jam with some of the musicians there. I'd also like to tour nationally, maybe even internationally because they love Jazz across the pond!
