Biography

A nine-piece funk/soul band from Detroit managed and produced by Jimmy Roach. The members were Dwayne Lomax, Rod Williams, Delores Whyte, Don Whyte, Eddie Taylor, Larry Johnson, Ron Payton, Lloyd Collier, and Leander Sanders. A deal with 20th Century Fox Records fell through and an album hung in limbo. To salvage the project, Roach released the hard-to-find LP on his Jibaro label and issued a few singles including "Dream Machine" b/w "Have a Good Life" (1981) and a 12" track that did some business entitled "You're My Superhero." Slim sales and the inability to land a deal with a major caused Everlife to disband prematurely.
