About God Street Wine

New York City's God Street Wine were a major part of the first flowering of the jam band scene alongside the likes of Blues Traveler and the Spin Doctors. Forming in 1988, singers and guitarists Lo Faber and Aaron Maxwell, keyboardist Jon Bevo, bassist Dan Pifer, and drummer Tom Osander released their first album, BAG, in 1992, followed by four others including their most successful set, 1994's $1.99 ROMANCES. God Street Wine broke up in 1999. Their farewell show at the popular Manhattan jam band showcase The Wetlands Preserve was released as the live album GOOD TO THE LAST DROP.
