Holger Czukay

About Holger Czukay

As a founding member of Krautrock kings Can, Holger Czukay was one the most influential rock musicians ever to emerge from Germany. After combining psychedelia, jazz, funk, and world music with Can, he left the band in 1977. His subsequent solo career combined his earlier musical influences with a greater focus on electronics, eventually moving more toward the techno style that his early work helped inspire. Over the years, Czukay also collaborated with such artists as David Sylvian and Brian Eno.
