Well-known Mexican vocal/acoustic duet Mexicanto was formed in December of 1985 in Culiacán by Sergio Félix and David Filio. Inspired by a music style which has been internationalized by artists such as Silvio Rodríguez and Pablo Milanes, Mexicanto recorded and released their first album in 1987. It was called En Venta. In the year 2000 and after releasing six more albums, Félix and Filio decided to go on their own, touring Mexico for the last time that same year. ~ Drago Bonacich
