English electro-pop group Munch Munch were formed after co-founder Richard Manber saw Tom Carrell performing Eurythmics songs during an open-mike night at a Bristol club. Manber and Carrell quickly hit it off and began making music together on their laptops. The group’s sound is frantic and textural, combining twisting analog synths with dense percussion arrangements to create a sound reminiscent of Animal Collective's experimental pop crossed with the hyperkinetic glam of Sparks. The band released its debut full-length, Double Visions, on Rough Trade toward the end of 2010. ~ Gregory Heaney
