About Reincidentes

Spanish hardcore punk band Reincidentes began playing in the mid-'80s under the name Incidente Local, with bassist Juan Barea, drummer Manuel Pizarro, and guitarist/vocalist Fernando Medina. Debuting live in Sevilla in 1987, the group added saxophonist José Luis Nieto to the lineup and competed in a local rock contest in 1989, releasing a self-titled debut album that year and achieving huge success in the Basque country. Reincidentes released Ni un Paso Atrás in 1991 and ¿Dónde Está Judas? in 1992. After returning to Spain from a Central American tour, the group added guitarist Finito de Badajoz to the lineup and recorded Sol y Rabia. The double album Algazara, released by BMG in 1998, was Reincidentes' first gold record. ~ Drago Bonacich
