About Dustin O'Halloran

Dustin O'Halloran is an American post-classical pianist and composer who formed the Devics while attending Santa Monica College. The quartet released four albums between 1998 and 2006. His first two solo albums, Piano Solos and Piano Solos 2, arrived in 2004 and 2006, respectively. Meanwhile, he found work writing film scores, including Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette (2006) and Drake Doremus' Like Crazy (2011). The year 2011 also brought the debut of A Winged Victory for the Sullen, an ambient project with Adam Wiltzie. Rising in the ranks of screen composers, O'Halloran garnered an Emmy for his theme to Transparent in 2015, and was nominated for an Oscar alongside Hauschka for their work on 2016's Lion. ~ Thom Jurek & Marcy Donelson
