Irreversible Entanglements are a potent free jazz quintet fronted by synthesist/vocalist Camae Ayewa, aka Moor Mother. Other members include saxophonist/percussionist Keir Neuringer, trumpeter Aquiles Navarro, bassist Luke Stewart, and drummer/percussionist Tcheser Holmes. Amid performances across the U.S., U.K., Germany, the Netherlands, and elsewhere, they've recorded the albums Irreversible Entanglements (2017) and Who Sent You? (2020) for both the International Anthem and Don Giovanni labels. The band issued the full-length Open the Gates in 2021. After signing to iconic jazz label Impulse!, they released Protect Your Light in 2023.
