One of my earliest musical memories is watching my grandfather play Fats Waller on this lovely Bechstein piano at his house in Scotland. Aretha Franklin, Amazing Grace (Live at New Temple Missionary Baptist Church, Los Angeles, CA, 01/13/72) Bill Withers, Bill Withers Live at Carnegie Hall Paul Simon, Still Crazy After All These Years Bill Withers' Carnegie Hall gig is one of the most revered shows in history. Aretha's 'Amazing Grace' album pretty much sums up why I love gospel music. Paul Simon I think might be my favourite song writer of all time. Tell us why you chose this song. “Skyline” I wrote it after a good friend took his own life and even though I’ve sung it millions of times, it still makes me think about him, and I love how at every gig it always manages to lift people’s spirits.
