About Jay Watts

An American singer, songwriter, and producer with a soulful voice and flair for fashion, Jay Watts employs a genre-spanning blend of hip-hop, rock, pop, and country -- he cites a wide array of artists as influences, including Prince, Cher, Ne-Yo, Justin Timberlake, Madonna, and Jimi Hendrix. After honing his skills in the studio, he caught the attention of multi-platinum producer Reefa (Lil Wayne, Rick Ross), who gave him a production deal. He dropped his first single, "Millionaire Club," in 2014, followed by performances alongside a slew of big names like T-Pain, Meek Mill, Diggy Simmons, and Flo-Rida, among others. His next release, "My Dreams," helped land him a deal with Lava Records, and he made his debut in 2015 with the single "How You Feel." Subsequent singles "Live Life," "IDGAF," "Speeding," and "That's Not Me" brought both critical and commercial accolades, and in 2017, he landed a song, "Watch Me Walk," in the superhero film Power Rangers. That same year also saw the release of "Single Friends," which was produced by Reefa and 12 Keyz. ~ James Christopher Monger
